I drove the bike course this past week. The hardest part will be fighting off boredom. You will do 4 laps of 14 miles each, flat and straight. Its 4 mile straights with some 90 degree corners and the biggest hill being about 5 feet high.

The other thing is the cold weather coming in. It could be below 50 degrees that early in the morn. I'm not used to cold after the 100 degree days. I may be sporting a vest and gloves, toe covers, dry top after the swim. Good luck to all.

Hello All (this is Adam using Kellie's account):

While in Europe I spoke with Carina Wasle (an XTERRA pro from Austria); she would like to come to Boise to train after the US championships and before Maui. Her plan would be to arrive here September 26th and then depart for Maui October 17th.

She is hopefully looking for a place to stay during her three weeks here. I don't know if anyone would be willing to provide a homestay for these three weeks for her. I believe a place in or near the North End would be good (given I don't think she will have a car).

Just some background, she is a very quiet and very nice. I believe she had one of the fast run splits in Maui last year and has been finishing on the podium at most of the championships races. She is from the Austrian Alps and closests town everyone might recognize is Soelden. Who knows, maybe some sort of a trade could be worked out.

Please email me if anyone is interested awirth@cableone.net

Thanks,
