For those of you that didn't make the meeting last night, we had Jeff from the MTB Idaho License Plate. What a great way to not only show our support for our trail systems, but to actually help fund the maintenance and building of trails.

I hope I get these numbers close to right, but I think the cost of a MTB licnese plate is $35 the first year and you just show up at the DMV, ask for the plate, pay your money and then they mail you the plate. It is $25 each year upon renewal. Roughly, half the money goes to support the trails and half the money goes to the state. They need to get to 1000 plates to keep this as an ongoing program.

I think we all know how blessed we are to have the trail system like we have here in Boise. We can make a difference in helping get to the 1000 plates. So get a plate and tell a friend!!

Thanks!

The YMCA 2nd Annual Off Road Triathlon is May 4 and 5 and we are in need of the following volunteers:

We need Swim Timers from 5:30pm to 8:30ish on the 4th at West and Caldwell, and 5:30am to 8:30amish at DT. We could also use some Packet Pick-up folks during those same times.

On Saturday the 5th, we need folks at the Velo Park in Eagle at 9am for food, directional and Safety monitors, and transition area folks. Please note that the Safety monitor duties are pretty much limited to the trails, with just a few spots in the Parking lots and a couple of lightly traveled road spots. If you are interested in helping, please contact me.

Also, I am starting early looking for Cyclists for the Famous Potato Races. We need at least 8 cyclists (2 for each race) and would prefer 16 (4 per each race). The Cyclists’ duties would be to lead the Men’s and Women’s leader of each race, and then going back over the course to monitor. We would like you to be at the start of whichever race you chose at least 30minute prior. We would give you a wonderfully classy orange vest (Prada, I think) and would like you to carry a Cell Phone. If you or anyone you know would like to do something like this, please contact me for more info.

And, if you are a Track and Field Nut, we have our annual YMCA Track and Field Meet this weekend, which I have attached the schedule should be interested. We would like at least a 2 hour commitment for this and would prefer a 4 hour commitment, if possible. Sorry about the late notice on this particular event.

If you have any questions or concerns about this, please feel free to contact me.

Thank you all so much for all that you do for the Y and its events. Jack……………………
